As part of the RECIRCULATE project, DHL developed the DigiTruck system, an advanced IoT and telematics platform designed to make lithium-ion battery transport safer, smarter, and more connected.
The system integrates vehicle performance data, battery conditions, and in-cabin safety information into a single operational layer, enabling real-time monitoring of trucks, cargo, and road conditions.
The project also explores early-stage research in collaboration with MEF University on Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI), aiming to better understand and potentially detect driver fatigue through cognitive signals. In parallel, new safety approaches for lithium-ion battery transport are being developed.
Together, these innovations contribute to making battery logistics more transparent, data-driven, and safe across the supply chain
