This training session introduced Digital Battery Passports (DBPs) and the Recircle Marketplace as key enablers of a more transparent, traceable, and circular battery value chain.
It provided an overview of the regulatory context for Digital Battery and Product Passports, including key EU legislation and upcoming requirements under the ESPR framework. The session also explored the role of digital ecosystems in enabling second-life battery markets, highlighting how trusted data can support reuse, refurbishment, and new business models for end-of-life batteries and components.
A live demonstration of the Recircle Marketplace showcased how users can navigate the platform, create and manage listings, filter by categories, and explore available assets through an interface.
Overall, the training demonstrated how DBPs and digital marketplaces can improve data transparency, strengthen collaboration across stakeholders, and support the scaling of circular battery value chains.
