Recirculate to Participate in Battery Innovation Days 2025 in Graz

Recirculate, an EU-funded project under the Horizon Europe programme, will take part in Battery Innovation Days 2025, which will be held 2-3 December in Graz, Austria. The project will be represented together with the Circular Battery Cluster and three other Horizon Europe initiatives: REBELION, BatteReverse, and REINFORCE.

Demonstrating Recirculate’s Progress

Throughout the event, the Circular Battery Cluster will host a joint stand showcasing ongoing developments, research progress, and collaborative work on advancing circularity across the European battery value chain.

Sami Sarlin, RDI Specialist at Centria University of Applied Sciences, will also be present at the stand. He will demonstrate the hardware–software infrastructure developed for automated disassembly of EV batteries as part of the Recirculate project. The demonstration will highlight advanced tooling concepts and a sensor- and AI-driven operational pipeline.

Cluster Session

The Cluster will also contribute to the official conference programme with a dedicated session titled:

End of Life, Start of Supply: Advancing Battery Recycling in Europe
Date: Tuesday, 2 December
Time: 14:00–15:30

During this session, we will present the joint talk “Accelerating Circularity: Building Europe’s Circular Battery Value Chain,” outlining current challenges, technological approaches, and opportunities to improve second-life applications, recycling processes, and materials recovery in alignment with the EU Battery Regulation.

About the Circular Battery Cluster

Recirculate is part of the Circular Battery Cluster, a collaboration of Horizon Europe projects working together to develop innovative solutions for end-of-life management, second-life applications, and sustainable recycling of lithium-ion batteries. Additional information about each project will be available on our website.
